Ground Zero

In a manner fitting of the Obama administration, a bombshell was dropped on the American people last Friday afternoon. Eric Holder, the US Attorney General announced that he will be sending Khalid Shaikh Mohammed (self-proclaimed mastermind of 9-11) and 4 other Gitmo detainees to Manhattan to be tried for their crimes in CIVILIAN court as opposed to Military Tribunal. Then yesterday, I caught wind of a few states that noticed there were jobs created in non-existing congressional districts.

So let’s start from the beginning and sort it out. On Feb. 17, Congress passed the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009, at the request of President Obama. The act was created to help curb the effect of an ensuing economic crisis. Like any government program it is big and complex. It has three goals: (more…)

Late Friday night Nancy Pelosi and the House of Representatives were burning the midnight oil trying to figure out a way to pass a health care bill. nancy-pelosi1 One problem remained, abortion. After years of pestering the democrats it once again reared its ugly head becoming a hurdle for the historic vote to take place. Ms Pelosi, an ardent defender of abortion rights, had no choice but to give in and allow a vote on Stupak’s amendment. In the end (more…)
