After finishing a long, happy, peaceful vacation in the middle of the week, I knew that I would have to return to the stresses of work and see what was happening in the “real world”. Little did I know that this week would include some of the damnedest, most frustrating claims of racism and transparent use of racial wounds that we’ve ever seen. It isn’t the first time, nor will it be the last…but, it was increasingly frustrating to hear more liberal commentors divide the country by race. And worst of all, being able to do it by pointing the finger at conservatives and getting away with it.

I read a refreshing article from Prof. Thomas Sowell yesterday, that made me feel much better that there may just be an eventual end to these bogus claims. Fraudulent use of the race card has left Americans polarized on the issue of what is true racism. True institutional racism that should be fought against lays in the background as liberal extremists would prefer to use cases absent of racial bias or minor prejudices as their standard. As this becomes the standard, you can tell that Americans are becoming increasingly tired of being called racist just because they disagree with the far left, progressive agenda. And hopefully, as Prof. Sowell says in his article, “voters will wise up to race card fraud.”

I started watching his show the O’Reilly Factor about 8 years ago. At the time I was looking for answers to help justify my position politically while constantly being bombarded with a liberal outlook from my teachers at school. I remember having daily debates on whether we should even retaliate against Al Qaeda. What I found listening to Bill’s Radio Factor and watching his TV shows was a bold and independent thinker taking on all the toughest issues. I was drawn to his level-headed conclusions and appreciated how he always had in mind the best interest of the “folks”. (more…)

Ms Pelosi, an ardent defender of abortion rights, had no choice but to give in and allow a vote on Stupak’s amendment. In the end (more…)

As some commentators on the Left look to defend the Nobel Peace Prize given to Obama on Friday morning, others are not so quick to acknowledge the President deserved it…including the President.

In the above video from yesterday’s Rachel Maddow Show, Ms. Maddow tries desperately (and smugly) to explain why Obama deserved the prestigious honor.  She lists a few previous winners that were given the award prior to completing their life goal of peace.  However, she overlooks the fact that the award was bestowed upon the likes of Desmond Tutu and Jimmy Carter after DECADES of charitable work.  Between her predictable slaps at former President Bush, she tries to explain from the year prior to the nomination what Obama did to deserve the award.  All examples other than the not complete order to close Guantanamo Bay were given in debates or speeches. Nothing of achievement; no actions to follow-up on his soaring peace mission rhetoric.

Maddow and the like are shamefully trying to spin the debate into being about American pride, rather than acknowledging the extreme bias that does not allow us to fairly debate the merits of our President.  I understand why, it’s much easier from her point of view to make the debate about hating America.  But while Maddow wishes to call those pointing out the absurdity of the award as “deranged” – one person agrees with the sentiment this was too soon.  Following the jump, read the letter e-mailed to Obama supporters after the Nobel Prize announcement:  (more…)

Depending on who you listen to it’s easy to know who is the ratings leader in cable news. The answer? EVERYBODY!!  Each news station seems to measure their place on the ladder by its own metric. But how do these networks actually rank in television viewership? (more…)
