After finishing a long, happy, peaceful vacation in the middle of the week, I knew that I would have to return to the stresses of work and see what was happening in the “real world”. Little did I know that this week would include some of the damnedest, most frustrating claims of racism and transparent use of racial wounds that we’ve ever seen. It isn’t the first time, nor will it be the last…but, it was increasingly frustrating to hear more liberal commentors divide the country by race. And worst of all, being able to do it by pointing the finger at conservatives and getting away with it.
I read a refreshing article from Prof. Thomas Sowell yesterday, that made me feel much better that there may just be an eventual end to these bogus claims. Fraudulent use of the race card has left Americans polarized on the issue of what is true racism. True institutional racism that should be fought against lays in the background as liberal extremists would prefer to use cases absent of racial bias or minor prejudices as their standard. As this becomes the standard, you can tell that Americans are becoming increasingly tired of being called racist just because they disagree with the far left, progressive agenda. And hopefully, as Prof. Sowell says in his article, “voters will wise up to race card fraud.”

Recently I’ve been hearing this phrase a lot; the world is upside down. People are slowly catching on to the fact that things are un-like how they used to be. Political polarization mixed with outlandish irrationalities and head-shaking ignorance is becoming common place. But unfortunately many of these stories, which defy sound logic or objectivity, simply fall through the cracks of our 24/7 news cycle. In an attempt to document the patently outrageous, I have decided to start an ongoing series called, The United States of Absurdity. We will be documenting stories that we hope only represent the fringe of a fringe with sources and very short commentary. And as our upside down world slowly renders The Onion obsolete, at least they won’t be able to say that we’re all crazy. Let’s begin.
How bored are “Human Rights” groups in America? (more…)

In wake of the recent Israeli/Gaza debacle one common theme is emerging; the world really hates Jews. You would think such a profound lack of moral clarity would be highly alarming to the rational masses. But these days, brainwashed Muslims, uninterested Americans, and welfare loving Europeans have immediately trounced on the unjust opportunity to bash, discredit and rant against the only bastion of freedom in an un-free world. Israel.
The facts of this story are very simple. But like the Arizona Illegal Immigration debate, getting the facts to the users has proven too much to handle for our media, the UN, and Jew hating Muslims worldwide. Let me give you the background on recent events occurring in the middle-eastern area called the Gaza Strip. (more…)

With a little help from today’s news, Bill O’reilly and his recurring guest Bernard Goldberg have finally convinced me. I now agree with them that the media is not just biased in opinion, but is corrupt in their tactics and means they will use to push their agenda. If you’ve ever questioned the leanings and power of a “covertly” slanted media, look no further than the past week and a half. The hubbub over the Arizona Illegal Immigration law points to a trend that should frighten even the leftist of left-wingers. I believe the media, working in possible collusion with open-borders proponents and morally confused liberals have engaged in a campaign to blatantly distort, discredit and outright lie about the new Arizona law.

Unlike “grandma”, one thing that will not die is the spin surrounding the Health Care debate. So let’s recap where we are right now with the new health care law: In the past week, a bunch of pompous speeches and voting have taken place, and in the end, all it means is the bill is still passed. That was the short summary ignoring all the bloviating (thank you, Mr. O’Reilly). Meanwhile, the President continues to tour across American campaigning about this bill. Isn’t it a bit scary that the President needs to put so much effort in selling this bill to the American people after a year of debating? This man could sell a ketchup popsicle to a woman in white gloves. Anyways, of all the talk, the most intriguing part to me is how the Left and the media are working desperately to spin the storyline away from the bill and on to circumstantial events. (more…)
