Often times you hear those on the political left complain that they are caricatured as un-patriotic or even anti-American.  Although I’m not personally familiar with any legitimate or influential conservative politician voicing such rhetoric, it’s a charge that gets regurgitated on a regular basis.  But, is there a basis for such a charge?  Has the claim of being labeled un-American only been used to deflect actual liberal mindsets and actions that warrant such labels?  Is there a difference between taking un-American stances and being righteously anti-American? Arizona Illegal Immigration Ruckus

With a little help from today’s news, Bill O’reilly and his recurring guest Bernard Goldberg have finally convinced me. I now agree with them that the media is not just biased in opinion, but is corrupt in their tactics and means they will use to push their agenda. If you’ve ever questioned the leanings and power of a “covertly” slanted media, look no further than the past week and a half. The hubbub over the Arizona Illegal Immigration law points to a trend that should frighten even the leftist of left-wingers. I believe the media, working in possible collusion with open-borders proponents and morally confused liberals have engaged in a campaign to blatantly distort, discredit and outright lie about the new Arizona law.

We are almost a full week into the debate on the new immigration law passed in the state of Arizona and the heated rhetoric is still prevalent. The opponents are bringing out the big outrage guns through marches planned by Rev. Sharpton, boycotts against traveling to Arizona, boycotts against companies headquartered in Arizona, and even boycotts against Arizona iced tea…which is manufactured in New York (like a bad salsa commercial). Facebook groups against the bill have been created, Paul Rodriguez has canceled his comedy tour through Arizona, and people are picketing the Arizona Diamondbacks…even on the road. You cannot view the media without finding some opinion relating the law to racism, Nazi Germany, or apartheid which no doubt should shape the opinion of the nation. Unless it hasn’t. (more…)
