I started watching his show the O’Reilly Factor about 8 years ago. At the time I was looking for answers to help justify my position politically while constantly being bombarded with a liberal outlook from my teachers at school. I remember having daily debates on whether we should even retaliate against Al Qaeda. What I found listening to Bill’s Radio Factor and watching his TV shows was a bold and independent thinker taking on all the toughest issues. I was drawn to his level-headed conclusions and appreciated how he always had in mind the best interest of the “folks”. (more…)

reagan_chesterfield_adOne of the most debated articles in the conservative interwebs over the last week was an article written by Steven F. Hayward for the Washington Post this past Sunday.  Mr. Hayward is a research scholar for the conservative  think tank, American Enterprise Institute.  His article questioned if the conservative movement has gone brain dead – citing different examples from the current breed of conservative “leaders” compared to their forefathers. Party elites, intellects, contributors“regular folk” populists and grass roots have been debating the merits of this column.  Personally, I find this essay interesting but not necessarily correct in its assessment of the current state of conservatism. Capitol Building - NightIt’s that time of the month when pollsters begin releasing their latest surveys into the national psyche of current events and hot topics.  For the most part, the latest numbers are not too surprising.  Obama is still rating favorably (51%).  Americans are still skeptical of health care reform (39% For; 41% Against).  But there were a few interesting items reported. Foremost, 80% of Americans say they are satisfied with their health care. But that’s not even the most shocking part of that high statistic. (more…)

This video was made public Thursday on BigGovernment.com, a political blog launched by Andrew Breitbart. In the videotape, James O’Keefe, a 25-year-old independent filmmaker, posed as a pimp with a 20-year-old woman named “Kenya” who posed as a prostitute while visiting ACORN’s office in Baltimore. The results are shocking to say the least.
