Last Friday, the Norwegian Nobel Committee awarded their Nobel Peace Prize to President Obama. Nearly everyone that I spoke to,  read from and listened to, agreed that this award was given prematurely. Much time and effort was spent over the weekend deducing whether or not folks agreed with this decision, or if they believed the once heralded Nobel Peace Prize Award has turned once and for all to be purely political. Throughout the discussions and Facebook polls questioning if he deserved the award, I wanted to take a quick look at the “accomplishments” the committee may have looked to in deciding to bestow the honor onto our president…
We first need to take a look at the Committee’s stated reasons why they believed President Obama was deserving of the award. (more…)

Mr. Obama goes to Copenhagen…

There’s a decent chance you may have viewed the below video from October. It features Lord Christopher Monckton from Great Britain who is a former advisor to Margaraet Thatcher in the 1980’s.  In the video Monckton claims to have read the treaty that President Obama and the rest of the countries will sign at the United Nations Climate Summit in Copenhagen Denmark.  Although I’m not big on conspiracy theories, and I do not believe Obama will be ceding our US Sovereignty anytime soon…(treaties call for 2/3 Senate approval anyway) the backdrop to this story is extremely important.  As many are unaware this conference is even convening, its consequences for the future of our economy are dire and unbelievably far reaching

This past Friday, Al Gore was speaking at a conference in Madison, Wisconsin to The Society of Environmental Journalists.  During this speech, Al Gore was to take questions from the audience regarding climate change and global warming.  Gore, who since 2000 has re-invented himself from politician to leading spokesman for the global warming crowd, has not taken questions regarding his cause in 4 years.  Journalist and film-maker Phelim McAleer looked to confront Gore on some inconsistencies in his 2006 film An Inconvenient Truth.  It should be noted that Mr. McAleer will be releasing a rebuttal to Gore’s documentary in the near future titled, Not Evil Just Wrong.  In the above video, you will notice that after attempting to ask his question, he has his mic cut while trying to submit a follow-up question to the former Vice President.  (more…)
