Oh Kanye, when will you ever find whatever it is you are looking for?
Last week I wrote a post saying the President gave an impressive Health Care speech to the members of Congress. This week, my first post is agreeing 100% with the POTUS. In an off the record comment made to an ABC News reporter, President Obama called Kanye West a jackass for his immature display at Sunday night’s MTV video music awards. In other news, students at South Park elementary report that Kanye West likes fishsticks.
I no longer watch MTV — 1) Im a big HD snob, and I refuse to turn it to MTV in the lower tier, and 2) Im getting too old for some of their shenanigans — but Ive watched the video of Kanye completely disrespecting Taylor Swift during her acceptance speech for Best Female Video last evening. The topic was brought up in between an interview the President was giving ABC News. According to the Politico, in a lapse of journalistic integrity, ABC News reporter Terry Moran tweeted a comment by the President that was supposed to be held off the record:
ABC News reporter Terry Moran: “Pres. Obama just called Kanye West a “jackass” for his outburst at VMAs when Taylor Swift won. Now THAT’S presidential.”
Now disregarding the off the record part, its nice to see someone with the voice of the President not baby the diva attitude that Kanye West has been allowed to spew for years – President Bush doesn’t like black people, anyone? The national opinion in general seems to vastly agree with the President over Kanye, which is a terrific. The more the thuggish gangsta profile that has been promoted by popular culture is presented as a sham, the better it is for society as a whole.
I will give Kanye some credit, however. I mean, his bald girlfriend does have a nice behind…

Kanye dissing Taylor; Amber Rose dissing snakeskin
Is it too cynical for me to have assumed that this with a publicity stunt? I had never heard of this Taylor Swift girl before, so I guess it worked. I had forgotten that little gem. WA WA, the president did not like black people! Of course he didn’t! He was not elected to serve black people, he was elected to serve people who actually contribute to society.
You are probably too cynical. The man has an ego the size of Montana and tragically lost his mother recently – the one person in his life that might have been able to keep him level-headed. I actually think his apology on Leno last night was genuine. — Then again maybe Im not cynical enough.
PS. Not sure about the whole racist angle you are trying to play there; but I think its a bit misguided on the intent of the post.
